The first card phone system installed on this island was provided by Landis & Gyr, along with a series of four cards all with 212K code and the same image. The values were 10, 20, 50 and 120 units and the series was reissued twice next year, with codes 302A and 308A. The Landis & Gyr system remained in use until 1998, when it was replaced by the chip card technology.
