Belgium was the second country in the world to issue telephone cards, after Italy, and for many years the system used was that provided by the Swiss Landis & Gyr. The first cards were two definitive orange red, which are easily distinguished by the numerous subsequent emissions as they were the only phone cards of this type to have values of 25 units and 100 units: from the following issue values became in fact 20 and 105 units . The runs were very low: 3,500 for the 25 units card, and 5,500 for the 100 units.
